I love being a private saxophone and clarinet teacher.   I have taught students of all ages and at all levels of experience, and I take special pleasure from teaching beginning students, quickly helping them to establish good habits, and building a proper foundation of playing their chosen instrument.  Watching students grow from beginners into fine musicians is a most gratifying experience. 

 

I have enjoyed seeing the variety of accomplishments of many of my students.  One of my former students was praised by the Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune for “…alto saxophone solos [which] consistently stood out for the originality of his ideas,” another student presented several solo recitals throughout the Midwest, and other former students have performed solo works with college wind ensembles.
